Audrey Hayes
Pizzazz with Jazz Honoree 2017
As we celebrate 20 years of The Centrum, we are approaching our 19th
year of The Centrum Arts League. We are excited to honor Audrey Hayes
for all her efforts in working with other community minded people to
raise funds for The Centrum.
Audrey
served on the Cypress Creek FACE and The Centrum Arts League boards in the early years as well as chairing our first gala, Best of the
Northwest. The concert that evening featured Larry Gatlin with the gala
following at Kim and Chuck Watson’s home.
Audrey was very involved in our early fund raising efforts, as well as, selling named chairs at The Centrum. As chair of our first gala she originated the name “Best of the Northwest,” which is the name we still maintain. When
Suzanne Ellis and Sue Stewart originated the idea of a fund raising
luncheon, Audrey was part of the team who wanted an energizing name
related to music. And that is where our name “Pizzazz with Jazz” originated. In
addition, Audrey has been a member of Cypress-Woodlands Junior Forum,
served on committees with NAM, the American Heart Association, and
served on the board of Texas Repertory Theater.
Her career as a real estate broker for 25 years and as a Top Producer was a very defining part of her life. Audrey is blessed with two children, Brett and Lori, and three grandchildren. Audrey’s love for the outdoors and a very active lifestyle in Colorado is shared with family and friends.
